Is it possible to get into a Bandshell Prospect Park show that's sold out?

If you get to Prospect Park early in the day for a sold out show at the Bandshell, can you find some lawn seating near the stage? I'm able to show up as early as 10am for a slated 6-8pm show and want to know if this has been done! I cannot find anything out there on this particular subject. Do they close off the entire area for the day until they open "doors" at some evening time, after which a huge line forms, and for which you need a ticket? Help!
