LDS: Is your faith stand alone?

I know that fellowship is important if it can be at all managed; I fully recognize and endorse attendance at meetings and that is not my question. It is this if for some reason you were cut off from the Church, having the knowledge that you have, would you still be Mormon or would you or could you assimilate into another Christian denomination? For myself, it would be as if I was trying to get toothpaste back in the tube- like once you have knowledge of the fullness of the Gospel I could not just forget. What say all of you?
