How many sick days can you miss from school?

Before getting held back how many sick days can you miss from school. I got really sick with the flew and was out for like 10 days the first quarter, and then got sick again from it and missed like 12 days the second quarter and missed a total of 22 days. Is there like a limit inwhich you have to go to go to school? Because it hasent affected my grades, i still have all As and one B. ANd my mom told me that i cant be sick anymore the school called and said if i miss anymore i will get held back. I think shes lying though, because it was in the middle of the month and i had'nt missed any school. Its the third quarter right now or 2cnd semester, and i have a total of 5 days sick. So 27 days total. All my sick days were excused with legitimate illnesses, im passing classes, should I be worried? I didint skip or anything just sick, so yah whats the deal. I mena isnt there a law that you have to be in so many days or no.
