Does god endorse slavery , genocide , infanticide and famine in the bible or is this another lie tactic?

I've heard all these crazy things that are in the bible , torah and Koran . Apparently the merciful god of the old testament endorses and condones slavery while condemning the eating of shrimp . He guides the Israelite s to exterminate the Emalicites he orders that there children to be dashed against the rocks . He orders Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac which he lovingly stops at the last second , but doesn't in later stories . To me it appears that no wonder the world is so ducked up , people get there morals from these ancient screes of hate intolerance and bigotry , and then were suppose to just shut up and go with it !! How is this any less than man forged maniacal delusional lies ? Please explain I don't understand how these lies propagate , or am I wrong these things never happened ? Did god do these things ? Please tell me how you have convinced yourself he did not . Thanks .
